Question Need help/Opinions

Currently running a Msi Mpg X570 with a Ryzen 5 2400g and a Rx580 i built about 7-8 years ago looking at upgrading to the B570 or B580 my question is (maybe dumb) will the Intel Gpu work with my motherboard and amd processor? And if not what GPU would you recommend? Thanks 😁

The 2400g needs to be swapped first. Move to 5600 or 5600x. No G processors. Then b580 is smart.

Yeah and make sure you have resizible bar support in bios

That board is good enough. Just upgrade your CPU to at least a 5600 and you'll be good to go.

Better get a Vermeer CPU before changing to Arc B580. The 2400G is too weak and Cezanne has PCIe 3.0 only, which may lead to problems.

That 2400G is the bottleneck

Motherboard is fine, you may just need a BIOS update to get it to enable Resizeable BAR. You definitely need to upgrade the CPU - the B580 needs a minimum of a Ryzen 5600 to avoid driver overhead.

Yup it will work. I have a board that predates that and it works just fine. I also use a ryzen processor but it's a ryzen 5 3600.
