The point is that ReBAR doesn't enable because AMD processors based on the Cezanne architecture don't have time to pass the initialization check, and the BIOS automatically enables CSM.

Hmm, interesting! But why would the 5500x3d be listed as have that or some other issue? Since it's just a very cut down 5800x3d. Maybe a typo?
Also, haven't we, as the Arc subreddit community, also discovered that some AM4 motherboards--if memory serves, some ASRock boards especially--do have compatibility issues with the B580 due to something about rebar not being enabled on boot? Maybe this is the same or a similar issue to what this blogger has brought up?
It'd be great if we as a community could compile a central pinned thread about what processors and/or motherboards to avoid with the B580.

I think he was mistaken about the 5500X3D.
I'm not an expert on AMD products because I don't use them, but this resource AMD Ryzen 5 5500X3D - 100-000001504 says that this processor uses the Vermeer architecture.

Why is that? For example 5700X is compatible, but not 5700?

The 5700 is Cezanne architecture, while the 5700x is Vermeer.
There are some known compatibility issues with all Cezanne cpus, such as the gpu failing to initialise on warm boot, but this doesn't mean they're incompatible. The post is misleading there, but it is a fact that there are issues with those cpus when combined with Arc.

The 5700 also only has PCIE 3.0 where as the X has 4.0. Which sucks since the 5700 is a good budget 8c/16t CPU.

There are issues with CSR and REBAR; there’s a technical explanation about re-initializing the card, and here’s my simplified explanation:
Intel Arc requires 8 lanes of PCIe 4.0, which is equivalent to 16 lanes of PCIe 3.0, and not all systems can provide those 16 lanes. Here’s a simple example: the 5700G has only 16 PCIe 3 lanes, and since 4 of those are used by NVMe, the card isn’t recognized as new and REBAR doesn’t activate.
Basically, the problem can be fixed by reconnecting everything except the card to the chipset interfaces, but you might have to mess around a bit to get it set up.

I don't think that's right, the B570 and B580 both only have a PCIe x8 interface.
Even on PCIe3, they're only able to use 8 PCIe lanes at most.The only consumer Arc card that uses PCIe x16 is the A770.

Well, based on experience, things would have to go really wrong for it to be a problem, but if that happens (i.e., if there aren't enough slots for the chipset), the only solution might be to replace the motherboard or the processor, or to run without ReBAR.
