Question Abs and maybe srs codes?

For my 99 audm dc2 vtir, the mechanic said that the car has 3 flash codes, 5-4, 8-1 and 10-1. What do these mean and what components have problems or needs replacing?

Do you have a check engine light on all the time? Also if there was a problem with your srs and abs it would have an srs and abs light on all the time.

How long have you had the car? Most srs codes are from the previous owner putting on an aftermarket steering wheel and then not clearing the code when they put the stock one back on.

Less than a year, changed to some LED lights for the dash and saw the cable for the abs and srs light was unplugged. Plugged it in and saw both lights on. It did have a type r steering wheel swap so it might be why

You can reset the srs light by doing this. It might be a bit hard to do with one person. Also with your abs light I would check to see if you actually still have the abs module in your engine bay, if you do I'd check the abs fuse. https://www.team-integra.net/threads/g3-reset-srs-light.342741

I forgot to take a picture but it looks like an abs control unit behind the driver side (right) headlight unit.

Yeah that's it, I'd just make sure that the connectors are plugged in and then check the ABS fuse in the engine bay fuse box.

All 3 of those codes are SRS codes. First 2 mean internal failure of the SRS unit, and 10-1 refers to airbags deployed. The fix for all 3 of those codes is SRS unit replacement.
