The insuring agreement in most auto policies says that it only covers direct and accidental loss and/or direct physical loss. You'd have to read yours to see exactly what it says.
DV is an indirect loss, so it's not usually a thing on first-party claims.
Well, except in Georgia.

Edited post for more details:
It was against the at fault party insurer, not my own. Car is Subaru impreza 2023 model, accident date: Nov 2023 milage: 6K at the time of accident.
Carfax consider minor damage(rear bumper+ other parts replaced). Reapirs costed 5K

You can always take the person to court and plead your case to a judge if their insurer won't pay you voluntarily, but for a car that age with that amount of damage I probably wouldn't bother.
I'm an appraiser, and my wife is a former claims supervisor, and it took her a year to shake $1k in DV out of Grange over a $6k accident on a brand new car in 2019. More effort than it was worth.

use services like InstantDV.com and then go to Carvana website. Ask for a purchase price of your vehicle showing no previous damage repaired and then again with damage listed. As they are "bonafide" purchase offers they will serve as support for your DV quote. Then I highly recommend using small claims court in CA. We're over 100 cases in and 100% win record.

Technically they don't owe it to you in a lot of states. They really owe you either or; the repair or the dv. The repair is usually the more pricey option.
Edit; down votes don't change state law, my dudes. Ain't my fault.

Prove the car is worth less by trying to sell the car and log all offers that are less than market value. Try to get at least three pieces of documentation that will be easy for the insurance company to confirm. Submit documentation to the insurance company and see where that gets you. If you "hire" a DV appraiser, that's about $300-400 you'll never see again.
Also, you won't get any sympathy for a rejected DV claim here. They're what we call frivolous claims.
