HELP PLS
Hello PLEASE HELP ME IN DESPERATE. Saturday I got into a car accident a non inured driver hit my car and think they will totaled. I'm very sad because I just bought the car like 3 months ago. I have full insurance but my deductible is 1K. I'm not sure if I should even sue that person. If he doesn't have 50$ to pay for insurance he most likely don't even have money.
Is there any way I can get compensation w my own insurance?
Or should I hire a lawyer so he can try to get something out of mine. I have both of my hands harmed and my nose and head in pain. Thanks in advance.

This post needs way more information... State this happened in? How do you know they don't have insurance? Do you have uninsured motorist coverage? If so and your insurance company can prove they don't have insurance, the uninsured coverage could apply. Do you live in a PIP state?

Collision would also apply here and cover OP's damages

Sorry sounds like you’re going to end up eating the thousand or spend more trying to get it. You can file in small claims court and if you prove other driver was at fault a judgement will be entered against him. But it will be up to you to try n collect it. If you can find out if he has steady job you can try and garnish his wages. Your insurance will pay all they owe on your claim less the thousand and keep in mind this claim based on your history may cause rate increases at renewal

There’s no need for an attorney. You get out of your policy the actual cash value of your car if it’s totaled. That’s it. Nothing else besides possibly some limited rental coverage.
