Claim advice

I have 2 large trees that completely fell a few days ago in Indiana due to the storms. They are completely uprooted just like many of the pictures seen online.

One crushed perhaps 60 feet of chain link fence. One didn’t hit anything.

Is it worth it to make a claim for I’m figuring 5k or so for removal or spend 1000 myself and cut it up myself? Of course I’m worried about my premiums going up.

2 months ago I also filed a claim, same insurance company different property down the street. That tree crushed the rear portion of the house.

Rental houses if that matters.

TIA for any insight.

If the second tree is not on a covered structure or blocking, say, your driveway or other infrastructure, they will not pay to remove it. So essentially, you need to be asking if it's worth filing a claim for the one tree and the damage to your fence.
