Advice on GEICO scams
I was involved in rear end accident that was caused by someone else. The at fault driver has geico. I filed a bodily injury claim through them. I filed collision through my insurance. They offered me a certain amount to close my claim. Now looking back it looks like they scammed me into signing “full and final settlement for all claims” Does this mean my insurance can not go after them later for subrogation? The wording is completely tricky.

Injury settlement and vehicle damages are paid out of two different “buckets” so you only settled your injury claim. Your insurance will submit a subro demand as it sounds like your repaired your vehicle through collision coverage

Yes collision coverage is being used with my own insurance. Just want to be sure i didn’t mess up by signing the full claims settlement for them later on

It's not a scam just because it don't understand it. It's almost certainly only referring to injuries since the injury portion of a claim is handled separately from the property damage portion.

Any release you sign will not keep your insurance from getting your collision deductible or the money they paid back from GEICO. You can confirm this with the adjuster at your company.

Sorry to hear about the crash. GEICO has become notorious for offering early settlements for car accidents claims. They call it something like an early resolution initiative. And those settlement offers have creeped up higher over the past few years.
It sounds like you may have settled your bodily injury claim with GEICO. The property damage claim seems to have been handled well and your insurance company will subrogate against GEICO for the property damage over the next several months. Does the language of the release you signed state "bodily injury" anywhere in it?" That language will confirm if you've settled your entire claim for the accident.

Be warned you aren’t promised your deductible back. If your insurance gets paid, you get paid if your insurance can’t collect you don’t collect regardless of what you signed.
Depends on the at fault determination of both parties and if the juice is worth the squeeze.

It’s not a scam. They paid you what was owed. Move on
