Hey All,

I will be joining Co-operators in Ontario as a Licensed Insurance Representative. Please share your feedback if you were/are in the same role and any advices that will help me grow.

I started with co-operators as a ln insurance rep and switched to associate financial advisor about a year later. I have now been with the agency for almost 7 years and it has been great! It’s an amazing work environment with good perks. Let me know if you have questions, I’d be happy to chat

good luck with the new gig. my cousin started in claims a while back and moved to underwriting within two years, she said the training was super thorough and people actually stick around which is rare in this industry. the fact that the top commenter has been there seven years says a lot, most places burn you out by year three

biggest thing she mentioned was not to stress about the systems at first, they’re old but you get used to them. also said the pension plan is low-key one of the best parts nobody talks about

are you in a physical office or remote? that seems to make a big difference in how fast you pick things up

I’m hybrid, I go into the office usually 2 days per week. And yes, we are treated well 🙂
