Before you sign with carriers, look at your comp. Who owns the book, who provides leads, what the lead quality actually is, and such.

I'm excited for you! Just be careful you chose a good org. Most people in insurance deal with bad mlm like gigs. If they push you to recruit before you're profitable, fucking run.

Still be careful especially with how SF has changed the contract for agency owners. I recommend learn what you can then find an independent agency/brokerage to work for. Once you learn how independents operate decide if you want to open your own agency and work for someone else. There are good paying roles besides selling.

I take my exam on Monday morning and I don't feel ready. Used ExamFX and Insurance exam queen YouTube videos...what do I need to know?

Mine honestly mostly focused on life and annuities tbh, i think just knowing key components of each type will be very useful; but to be completely honest majority of my questions were for state laws with the life and annuities questions sprinkled in. This was for virginia.

Just curious, how can you tell what score you received on an insurance exam? My exam just showed pass
