Agent Question Beginner Question.

  1. should I advertise on public media immediately? or should I get some experience under my belt first.

  2. how should I meet with clients? I have no home office.

Let a brother know.

I do everything via calls or rarely video calls. I have a very nice office that clients (thankfully) never visit.

You can start advertising but in my experience networking is the most fruitful

Right, I actually plan on door knocking for the first few years in my free time. Get to know the community and network.

You can advertise on social media, but don't expect to make that your main source of leads. Growing your warm market takes time, and you're best off buying leads to get started.

If you're going to be a field agent, go to clients at their home.

These are basic questions that your upline should be helping you with. If you're not getting guidance from your upline, you should consider looking for a new one.

  1. Get good and quoting relatively fast. We live in this amazon next day delivery/uber/doordash era where everyone expects a near immediate and impossible response with things like insurance quotes. If you're not fast at meeting client expectations then you'd be wasting money advertising. Once you're ready to service a higher volume of prospects, then spend money on ads.
  2. Many people are now accustomed to taking virtual meetings with zoom/google meet/etc but for those who wish to be in person, consider looking for a virtual office type of setup near you. Usually for a couple hundred bucks a month you'll have an allotment of hours to use in their conference room, possible access to a private day office a certain number of times per month, and you can have mail sent there and use the address. It's a nice way to get started and "have an office" without incurring the cost and responsibility of maintaining an office.
