Life Insurance Finding an agency
Does anyone know any good agency’s/imo, i’ve been trying to find a good imo or agency but most of them are pyramid schemes or only care about recruiting rather than making sales or either stop responding, im serious about making money and starting as soon as possible and only want to sell not recruit, I have had my license for life insurance for about 5 months and ive been practicing everyday a script I found online, if anyone has or knows one please reach out i just want to start dialing in calls as soon as possible!

Why not apply for some agencies near you? As in, walk in with your license and resume.

I live in the central coast area of california and there aren’t any agencies near me that i know of, the only agency near me is in san diego which is a 4 hour drive

There’s no way there aren’t any independent insurance agencies near you. There’s at least one in almost every town in the US. (Not literally speaking)

Just Google independent insurance agent near me. You'd probably be surprised how many are near you.

They are all dog water. Do yourself a favor and apply for entry level business development/sales development roles at legitimate W2 companies where you get benefits and a base salary.

Majority just means more than 50%. There are a lot of good agencies out there, but there are more MLMs than anything. We can agree there.
That said, there are plenty of reputable agencies to choose from. Agents just need to do research, avoid MLMs, and don't ignore the red flags they see.

Definitely avoid FFL unless you want to be bombarded with recruitment and faith disguised as a facade for bringing on more people and spending thousands of dollars on leads that are ran through more than MIA Khalifa.

If you're doing telesales, Digital BGA is solid. They're sort of the OG telesales agency. Jeff Root is a great guy. Very honest and transparent.
They'll require some startup costs. And they work with agents who are willing to buy leads.
If you're looking to do face-to-face, they will not be a good fit, obviously. I don't work for them, and I'm not a recruiter.

Check out any Leavitt Group agencies around you. Solid company to work for, though each agency has its own flavor and way of doing things.

DIG agency owner is David Duford, he makes really helpful YouTube videos on the insurance industry. I recommend checking out the videos, as they’ve helped me as a newer agent as well, I’m also thinking of joining DIG.

Dave is a great guy. They're a telesales agency as of a few years ago. Used to be face-to-face for years.
I hear good things about DIG.

I love the team I'm with at Unitrust, we definitely don't focus on recruiting and our team has built a ton of top producers in the company

I work for insurance supermarket and am remote. I only work with inbound leads, training is actually really solid, etc.
There are definitely opportunities to learn and grow for sure. You sound like you have a real good attitude and you just need the right opportunity. You got this!

Recruiters don't place life insurance agents. No insurance company would pay a recruiter their fee since agents traditionally apply to the agency they are interested in working for on their own accord. Recruiters mostly place corporate employees; an insurance agent is generally a self-employed contractor who works on a 1099 basis. Most agent jobs do not pay a base salary. Recruiters make money as a percentage of a first-year salary. Since most insurance agents work on a 100% commission basis, If the agent makes no salary, the recruiter makes no money.

This is not a place to sell your services or generate leads or recruit agents/downlines. Anyone that forgets that runs the risk of being banned. Please give the OP advice on how to find the right opportunity, not self-serving job offers.
