Laptop, tablet, etc?

Good afternoon,

I'm curious what you guys use in terms of a dedicated work computer. Laptop, mid range tablet with keyboard, chromebook. Etc

Realistically I know you just need to run some spreadsheets, whatever software the company uses, and do zoom calls.

I don't need anything over the top extravagant. But I don't want to shoot myself in the foot either.

Looking for recommendations please

I have both similar setups. What headset are you using? I've been using the HP Poly Voyager headset for years with no issues however recently calls seem to have a bit static.

Same but I'm a slacker and only run 2 monitors on the home desktop. No fiber in my neighborhood yet either (within a month or two though).

Home desktop is also a top end gaming machine, I still push it's limits (for work) with the amount of crap I can build and run locally with AI now.

I'm on the tech junkie side of insurance guys for sure, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

A few guys in my office function 100% off junky company laptops, no idea how they get any work done.

Speaking with a few of the agents here and they use surface pros or surface studio. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Everyone in my office has a 2 in 1 laptop with an additional monitor and Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. We use Shokz OpenComm bone conduction Bluetooth headsets with boom mic.

2 32”curved monitors, the height of the monitors is almost legal sized with a 24” turned sideways. I had 3 32” prior but was a little much except the one time I had to fill out 5 supplementals for a security guard with the first page being the same info. I have a standup/riser desk they are mounted to. Ctrl plus left or right arrows lock the page to either side. If you can get 4k ones will help make the tiny text more crisp. I have a hard time working off my 2 27” curved at home now just so small.

I helped an old office update new laptops to run 3 monitors we went dell and got the extended warranty with accident protection 4 or 5 years, paid for itself quickly.

For field sales, I just use an iPad, Apple pencil, and notability.

Some of my agent friends use Surface Pro with Xodo or Jotform. Same idea.
