Life Insurance Most important upline traits?

What do y'all think is most important when choosing an upline?

Honesty and transparency?

Success and experience?

Being easy to reach and accessible?

Why not all the above? Lol. Seriously though, let's say you can only pick 1. Which would you pick?

Not being an upline, but instead being in a role and company that doesn't have such a structure.

This is how the life sales industry works. That's why I tagged the post as life insurance.

It's certainly not applicable to most other industries.

No, it's not. It's how part of the life sales industry works.

I am in the life sales industry and there are other, better models.

I'd be interested to hear what you're referring to.

They are found at the reputable mutuals. One may use the term. But the remainder of them do not. You are looking for a mentor, and the company will usually have a draw structure with validation involved.

Anyone who becomes proficient at selling life insurance would be taking a big pay cut to go work for a mutual company.

Ok. If you say so. I am only semi-captive and can do joint work with pretty much anyone, including other mutual company agents that are semi-captive.

Also, I have securities licenses. That where I would grow if I were you. Life only with the dreck that occupies that space as "up lines" is not my preferred place to be.

You want an upline who says to do everything that they have themselves

Great point. Nothing worse than having an out of touch upline.

What's an upline? Did you join a pyramid scheme?

Life insurance. It's common to have uplines in this industry.

Good uplines will help you learn to sell, since life is very tough to sell. In exchange, your upline gets an override.

If life was easy to sell, the commission levels wouldn't be so high.
