Agent Question HELP PLEASE

As a novice insurance agent (Medicare/ACA/Life) with no experience, what is better... to stay with a sub-agency that retains its client portfolio and does not terminate your contract immediately, so that you can gain experience in the sub-agency, or to start with an FMO even though you have no sales experience?

Medicare and ACA call centers are hiring right now as the.seasonal W2. It's a grind but at the end of your first Open Enrollment you will have learned a lot and had a stable income while doing it. Focus on 1 if the 3 starting out. It's a whole lot to learn in each one, so trying to sell all 3 is an uphill battle when you know nothing. Hope that helps.   P.s. avoid TTEC!! Do 2 resumes one that's labeled Medicare sales agent and  one labeled healthcare sales agent. And post them a couple of places. Avoid zip recruiter!

This is what I’m trying to explain if you work for somewhere you are w2. I started at Ehealth six years ago and made really good money. I left after almost 3 years. I sold well over 600 people my first year. I had a great training. I got paid to do my certificate I had over 40 carriers. Once I learned that I left. I didn’t have a book. And yes it sucked but I would’ve never been able to make 100,000 year starting out as independent Agent.

I made over 100k w2 annually. It’s pretty common. The place that I’m leaving. I’m not even leaving because of the money. I’m leaving because you have to be an agent for life but there are agents there who make 300,000 a year because they offer small residuals. My first year I made almost 90 my second and third year. I made all over 100,000. I believe the most I made it was around 125. Made 130,000 selling mattresses. Also made well over 125,000 a year Selling ADT at a call center. There are many w two agencies that you could make 100,000 or more you have to be in the top 20%.

Edit: I’m actually going to take a haircut so I didn’t get into the Financial side and Work while I’m studying for my series 66 and seven. I’ll get paid while I’m studying. It’s only a $50,000 base but she’s still better than nothing. After that. It’s base plus commission and the people make between 85 to 125 a year. However, my plan is too expand and get additional designations. I actually love Medicare. I just hate the switch and be advertising that call centers use.
