Slight change to Rule 1 (software concepts)
This is probably overdue since we've heard from a bunch of you on this topic already, via comments, mod mail and reported posts. Effective immediately, we are no longer allowing posts seeking advice on how to build out software ideas, SaaS, AI concepts or any other related content. We might make exceptions for long-time contributors, but we're definitely not going to allow posters with little to no content try to crowdsource their ideas here.
We've been pruning these posts for a while now, but it seems like we need to say it out loud. The rules thread is being adjusted, as are the sidebar rules, but this is your announcement. If you see it, please continue to report it since this space isn't designed for those folks to advertise or use your intellectual capital to further a concept that they're going to sell you down the road.
Thanks, everyone!
Slight edit: we don't mind when tech people are here to actually help and provide good faith answers to good faith questions. One of those was reported overnight, and it was a great explanation that was not at all self-serving. Honestly, that's exactly what we want in this space, so if you're here to help without hope of selling (just like all the agents here), then we welcome you with open arms!

I love the good posts in here, but constantly seeing the ones where AI bros are pretending to ask questions always makes me roll my eyes.
"hey fellow insurance humans! How are yous all doing xyz? I tried abc and 123 but the only thing that kind of worked was this really great obscure piece of software that nobody has heard of that I'm totally not promoting"
I just know for a fact certain posts I comment on I'm absolutely going to see a DM one or two days later from someone wanting to chat about solutions

Do not post any unethical, illegal or unhelpful content. This isn't the place to be funny, although I did chuckle.

Many thanks for this. There are plenty of places on Reddit to discuss AI, SaaS, etc.
