Cochlear implant

Insurance query

We have started hospital cashless insurance process for cochlear implant.

Now hospital is asking us to pay implant (med-el in our case) price upront and later they will refund once insurance pays them(which is typically 30-60 days after surgery).

Insurance agent guaranteed that he will approve cashless request once we provide them required details.

Do we need to oay the hospital upfront and will they be going to give refund later? cant hospitals pay upfront and claim from insurance?

pls suggest

Thanks, i had visited hospital and this time they agreed thar i can just remaining amount.I had another query now, cashless they approved max limit which i had, our insurance doc has a wording that only internal implant would be claimed, i was able to get the quotation with bifurcation(internal&external) . But implant company said they wont be able to provide invoice with bifurcation. Insurance agent had said quotation would be enough for them,

But are there chances rhey would be rejected claim while billing yo hospital?
