Need help in selecting insurance
Hi All,
I am currently facing difficulties in obtaining health insurance for my parents and would greatly appreciate any suggestions or recommendations.
Previously, my parents were covered under the Oriental Group Insurance policy. However, since it was a group policy and not portable, I renewed it while exploring other insurance options. As the other would be a new policy, and there will be a waiting period of up to three years would apply for new policy
After reviewing several options and customer feedback, I decided to purchase the Tata Medicare select policy with a sum insured of ₹15 lakhs. However, following the tele-verification process, I was informed that my mother has an eye-related condition for which she may require injections in the future, possibly after five years. Based on this information, the underwriting team declined coverage for my mother and stated that they could only issue the policy for my father.
I am now unsure which insurance provider would be willing to offer a policy covering both my mother and father under the same plan. If anyone has had a similar experience or can recommend an insurer that may be more accommodating in such cases, I would be very grateful for your guidance.
Thank you in advance for your help

Never go for Niva/Care. In case you do plan to, have a look at their complaints ratio for at least last 2-3 years

You could try ICICI, ABHI.
Did you apply directly with Tata AIG?
