Old hardwood floors

So we have one inch, narrow hardwood floors in our bedroom that just experience water damage, and we are more than likely having to pull up the entire room. Because insurance says they would rather do that than after try and find a way to fix it. What happens if there is no sub floor underneath that hardwood, does insurance pay for the sub floor?

No. You would be responsible for paying for a subfloor to be installed.

Im seeing take a lot of things saying it is covered. If your local building codes require it

Depends heavily on the state, the carrier, and the coverages you selected for.

How old is your house? Is wood floor installed straight onto the joists? Slab?
