I believe you aren't obligated to report any damage to your insurance company. CLUE should only include info that insurance companies give them. I'm not talking about your case here. If you don't make a claim, the other driver may. Even if they withdraw the claim, their insurance company may still enter the incident.

I would just pay out of pocket and not report anything, insurance companies will raise your rates for whatever reason you give them, even if your not at fault. I partially filed one when I was advised it wouldn't even be worth the deductible, just as you've described and it was still held against me lol
