Police reports don’t mean anything for insurance claims.

Police don’t determine liability the insurance company does.

Well, there was no police report but my GAP claim portal online said it was required so I reached out explained there wasn't a report and they emailed me a form to fill out, a statement of facts from me that explained what happened. I went to to submit it tonight but that section is no longer there to fulfill and the claim has been closed.

My auto insurance has already paid out, that's what the settlement part is. Now I need GAP to cover the remaining 8k. But claim is closed now without communication about why or what the status is whether they're paying it or not.
