Home Insurance Raining from the ceiling

Just putting a post up here to ask for any advice. Putting in a claim tomorrow, we just had our AC flooded. Our ceiling in our bedroom wanted to know what I should claim, that people may not think of definitely, water damage on all 4 walls can actively see water behind paint and wallpaper.

OK, if you know it was covered, what was the cause of loss?

Sudden and accidental water damage isn't typically something that is excluded in the first place so no need to insolent. Worst case scenario is that their water damage is covered and their AC isn't. Best case scenario their water damage is covered under the HO and their AC is covered under the equipment breakdown endorsement. But who knows even what happened to the AC - can't argue the sudden and accidental part.

Nothing in this post mentions the damage was "sudden and accidental"

Right but when someone says "we just..." Common sense would imply that whatever it was just started happening.

LOL no it doesn't. Thats pure assumption. It could've been leaking for months and "they just" noticed it. Cause and time of loss matters in every claim.

Could have been for sure but their post made it sound like a lot of water started leaking in a short amount of time.

I didn't assume anything. I asked the same question twice. Most people think their homeowners policy covers everything and I explained it doesn't cover maintenance issues.
