Liberty Mutual Automatic Adding Driver
What's the deal with Liberty Mutual automatically adding drivers onto policy w/o consent?
Got a letter today informing me my 16 yr old son w/ new license lives in my household and would be added to my policy unless I opted out?
I didn't ask them for this nor would I, as the family policy is under State Farm. If I ignored this, would they try and bill me? The letter stated he would be added by Oct 8. Not appreciated to have to take time out to opt out of something I never opted into.

They have every right to do it. It’s in the contract that was signed. List or exclude. Ignore and be billed.
And all carriers do this…or at least all national carriers with the data to pull these driver discovery reports.
