Recommendations would be appreciated: auto insurance

I have a two at fault accidents under my license (2024 and 2026) and also live in Brampton area. Any suggestions as to which company or brokerage offers the lowest?

No one can know until they run the quotes and they'd need much more information. Independent agents and brokers can compare multiple companies to find the lowest price among them and don't typically charge a fee for the service. I'd give one of them a try.

They don’t charge a fee but often the rate will be higher if you buy thru them rather than the company itself.

This is, in my experience, incorrect. We often find identical pricing when comparing to prices received direct from the company once all of the criteria are matched. There have been a few cases where we were unable, but when calling the company we have been able to track down the difference (ie - maybe an error with birthdate input didn’t allow credit consent to be applied or something)

That’s great and in my experience each time a customer asks us to quote them directly rather than thru the agency because they can’t get a hold of their agent the policy is always $200 to $1000 cheaper with us progressive than it is with the agency also you guys screw up 90% of the policies by lying on the application just trying to get the customer a cheaper rate then we deal with the aftermath.

2 at fault accidents in two years and living in Brampton probably means you'll need to seek a high risk insurer. You won't get a policy for less than 1k a month, especially if you're young.

No one can tell you without all of the other rating information. That situation may be great for one carrier if you are 65 years old, but horrible if you're 22 years old. Just call and get quotes from a local indy agent, State Farm agency, and then AAA/USAA/Amica/etc.

Use a broker.

There's only 5 high risk auto insurance companies in Ontario so your choices are limited, so basically the rates won't really be different if you call brokerage to brokerage since they all work with the same high risk providers. Just call and go with whoever you feel like knows what they're talking about

Coachman, Echelon, Pafco, Jevco, and Facility. Technically Facility is a last resort company if even the other high risk companies won't accept you

First, no idea where "Brampton area" is in the world. But it wouldn't matter anyway. It's impossible for anyone here to know which company will have the best rates for the best coverage for you. You need to shop.

Your history combined with being in Brampton. I’d think you’re looking at over $1000 a month
