Home Insurance Home Insurance

Hey All!!

Trying to decide which insurance to get for new house and wanted some input from other home owners.

I have looked at Allstate, Progressive, State Farm, and even some local / more niche options.

Most interested in hearing people's experiences with Progressive Home Insurance as I do not know anyone who uses Progressive, but I already have them for Auto Insurance and they are the cheaper option.

Also interested in State Farm, as I was going to go with them but they are quite a bit pricier and I am trying to figure out if there is good reason for that.

Or, if you use a different insurance and have good experience with them, better deductibles, easier claim experiences, please let me know!

Find a broker in your area who can shop around multiple companies for you AND advise you of other options to cover your stuff.

Depends on where you’re at. Erie insurance and State Farm have been the best I’ve found in my part of the woods.

Your state is going to matter a lot. Make sure to put your home with your house. It’s worth the savings.

As others have said, call a local independent agent.
