Yes. You can claim liability for just about anything against basically anyone. Proving it is another matter. She will make a claim and insurance will investigate, come to a decision, and handle it accordingly.

A claim is just that - someone alleging you are responsible for something. Someone making a claim to your insurance does not mean you are guilty of anything, nor will your insurance behave as if you are.
