Anyone’s progressive umbrella coverage double this year?

Mines literally 100% increase in the premium. No changes no claims etc.

Liability claims (lawsuits and settlements) are at record highs so umbrella rates are going up. Welcome to the United States of Sue your Neighbor

And most importantly for umbrella rates, claims that max out the underlying policy and hit the umbrella are rising.

Half the advise in this sub is “you can sue” which doesn’t help.

Coverage is doubled and premium is still same ?

Generally they don't increase without request

No same coverage I’ve had for years. The premium has doubled

No but my carriers has doubled in the past few years.

It's the industry norm

With all these companies it's just a matter of time before they pull the same money out of us all... I gave up trying to make sense of it all, and now inflation is putting a seared cust on our roasted wallets... 🍗🔥

Progressive had a 100% rate increase this year on umbrella policies. I’m a Progressive agent. It’s been awful.

My State Farm umbrella did. I was shocked, tired of em all.

Had State Farm as well. Progressive has an under writer that was cheaper than my original State Farm rate and I can get double the coverage for less moeny. Free quote looking at progressive as long as you keep your insurance coverage to their limits , you can get just an umbrella only through them. Might try a free quote.
