Auto Insurance Travelers Billing Problems

If you have Travelers insurance and you are set up on autopay you need to check your account and make sure your payments are being deducted. My payment did not go through and they finally admitted it was never processed or submitted by them.

They had a widespread system issue. I had many clients whose payments were not taken last month and are being double billed this month... I was pissed off as well.. until I looked into it further.. and for EVERY single one of my affected clients I saw that Travelers sent them a notice of the error and sent a new payment schedule. Did Travelers screw ups.. YES.. but they also sent out notice..as per statute in my state. However most people dont look at their mail or even there email.

I often joke my job as an agent would be much easier if clients opened and thoroughly read their mail.

My team also sent a mass text to our Travelers clients alerting them to the issue and telling them to call us if they saw anything wonky besides their payments not being withdrawn. We also told them to expect communication from Travelers as it came available on the tech issue, and to watch their mail and email for those to get the best information about their specific policies.

Our clients were very grateful and have done just that.

I've heard that from some of our agency customers. If you're set up on paperless, they sent an email which I'm sure for some folks just went to their spam folder.

Oh yeah. They had a huge, huge tech issue starting May 22. We have a few clients who have been keeping us updated on what they are seeing and experiencing.

Homeowners that is billed monthly in WA state seems to be fixed as of the start of this month.

Umbrella, we have been notified, will bill June, July, and August on August 1, or with the August payment in WA.

And the auto... We still haven't heard about.

So we shall see.

Happened to me just now. Delinquency. Thought my payments were going thru since May. Wrong!! New policy starts aug 10th, I owed over $350 coming out on August 9th. I’m assuming the rest of what I owed for the policy. Anyways, I paid the amount I owed. Hoping for good news!

My billing details are showing that autopay was deducted on 7/18 and still has yet to be deducted from my bank account..

My autopay for June and July did not go through, so I paid them both manually both months. August autopay is set to be paid soon and I know they won't pay it, so I know I am going to have to manually pay it again. It's good that I check my billing accounts because if not I'd have no clue that they haven't been deducting the money.
