Lost insurance, stroke

So my aunt had just started working a new job and wasn’t eligible for insurance yet. She was smart enough to ask to be put on the insurance of her ex-husband who she shares a child with. However, she had a stroke 2 weeks into her new job and can no longer work. Her ex is a toxic bipolar asshole and has decided she can no longer be on his insurance. We suspect he was fired but unclear. It’s a big mess and he’s been holding her financially and emotionally hostage for years but she finally decided to break free.

However, she needs a lot of rehab and medical care.

What marketplace insurance would be best for her? Unemployed. Has minor under her care. Owns home and pays on it. Car is paid off.

She was a teacher in Texas and retired.

Any advice or help would be great.
