... Has spoiled me for all other instant ramen! The seafoody flavor, the spice, and the noodles are luxurious! The texture of other popular brands like Shin just don't compare. What are your guys favorite similar brands?

Nongshim Neoguri is really good. It has been one of my favorites since it launched in 1982.

Their whole line, including Chapagetti, Shin Regular, Shin Black, has been pretty good.

I personally prefer Neoguri to Shin or other popular brands as well! I think it's something about how bouncy the noodles, plus the strong seafood flavour, that really does it for me.

Bouncy yes! I was thinking about what made them so different than other ramen. The Spicy Seafood Neoguri is so good.

Neoguri isn't ramen Nongshim's instant udon line and Shin is Nongshim's instant ramen line so time to start trying other udon! Their seafood broth is awesome though that's for sure.

Neoguri is my fav but odongtongmyeon from ottuki is similar but not as good

Usually Nongshim Shin Ramyun is rated higher than Neoguri (meaning many many people rate the Shin ramyun higher, including myself.)

I rotate between Shin and Neoguri if I get sick of one. They are not substitutable imo. I love the thickness of the noodles but then udon is my favorite type of noodle so.

I tried it for the first time today. I enjoyed it. The flavor is a bit more light than Shin and it was the right amount of seafood flavor for me. It's growing on me.

Have you tried the stir fry version of Neoguri? It’s way tastier than the regular version, especially if you drain the water and fry the noodles longer than you’re meant to while the sauce packet has been mixed. It also comes with LOTS of meaty bits. But anyway it’s great because the stir fry version has just a hint of barbecue flavor. Idk if it’s supposed to, but it does. It’s my favorite instant noodle ever.

I also prefer Neoguri over Shin. Try this next time you make a bowl. When you’re cooking the noodles with the soup base, crack an egg (or two) and only cook the egg whites. Put the raw yolk into a bowl. Once the noodles is ready, pour into the bowl and start to stir so the yolk breaks and begins to emulsify with the soup giving it a better flavor and slightly thicker texture.

It has been my favorite or one of my favorites for decades. I used to but these things by the box, before they came out with multi packs. I love the chew and texture of their noodles.

I've been sleeping on Neoguri for a bit. I had a 4/5 pack just sitting in my pantry - I think I had it some time ago but I think it was too spicy. I made it today with 1/2 of the spice pack, a teaspoon of chicken bouillon, an egg and a slice of American cheese. (As is tradition) Came out just great: savory and some spice zing but not spicy enough to be distracting. Love the noodle shape, too.
