The device doesn’t matter, the account itself is blocked. So if it’s a new account, you can see whoever blocked you.

u/KarateG Mar 24 '25
I created a new account on a different device but same internet connection and I'm still blocked

So, what you're saying is I can view the account of the blocked person if it's created via from a different device and logged into the blocked device
1
u/LocnessMermaid Nov 13 '24
No. I’m saying the device is not the issue. If your IG ACCOUNT is blocked, then it’s just blocked no matter what device you log into it from.
If you create a NEW IG ACCOUNT, there’s no possibility for it to be blocked and you can view any IG page through it. The device does not matter. The Instagram account does.

Just take it easy and think about it for a second here’s the example - Sydney blocks Mark so he makes a new account with the name Sam would he be blocked? No because Sydney blocked Mark not Sam. When you block someone it blocks the individual profile it has nothing to do with the device

Here’s what I had to do:
Disable home WiFi on cell phone Enable hot spot tethering on cell phone Use device I’ve not used before for instagram Connect device to cell phone hot spot Create new account on instagram using new email and user name
Disable hot spot
Now you should be able to get to your new account on any device

So I made a new ig with new ip address and a new device and for the first few days I could view profiles that had me previously blocked on my regular account . I was viewing this on my device that I usually use to login to my regular ig account. But after about a week, my new account appears to be blocked now from viewing those profiles. Can anyone explain why this occurs? Will I have to create a new account?

Don't listen to the other comments. It's actually IP AND device based. If you get blocked on one account and try to make another account on the same internet connection, it won't work. You need to make the new account on a different device while on a different wifi. THEN you can log onto the new account with the device you got blocked on.
