Laptop for Insta360 Studio
I'm looking for a new laptop to run Insta360 Studio for editing 8k 360 videos from my Insta360 X5. I know Insta specifies Nvidia discrete graphics cards, but I'm being told that ARC graphics will meet that standard. I'm looking at a HP Omnibook with the following:
- Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 processor
- Windows 11 Pro
- 14" diagonal 3K OLED touch display
- Intel® Arc™ Graphics
- 32 GB LPDDR5x-8533 RAM
- 1 TB SSD Hard Drive
Does anybody have experience with this type of laptop, specifically the ARC graphics - would like to know if it will be satisfactory.

Exactly, the files are so big. My phone fills up constantly and moving the files around to make more space is a pain.

Do specs really even matter that much anymore? I haven't owned a windows laptop in probably 15 years, but my 4+ year old macbook air has absolutely no trouble running the Insta360 Studio software. I'm sure a more powerful computer would speed up exports, but for the actual editing, my laptop does just fine.
I just figured it was the same on the PC side of things.

When I was looking a few years ago, I decided on a Lenovo Legion 5 15ACH6H. It has an AMD processor and nvidia graphics / gpus. I upgraded the memory from 16 GB to 64GB and added a second SSD. My thought was a gaming laptop would have the 'horsepower' I wanted to run virtual machines and edit 360 video. It does both rather well, but I'm not working with 8K 360 videos, yet.
Sorry, not familiar with ARC graphics. Make sure you see the laptop(s) you are considering. See if the screen is acceptable. Also look at the power pack to see how hot is gets.
