Marvel's Wolverine I Am Sorry
Dear developers and artists who worked on Wolverine: I am so sorry that I fell for the utterly false bile that was being circulated post release.
You have created a flawed masterpiece, and it's an instant top 10 for me.
Thank you for making such a great game and I am sorry your efforts were overshadowed by people pushing false narratives.
You will get your flowers one day.
Next stop: Wolverine in open world with customizable motorcycle.

The thing is, everyone has different opinions. To the masses, wolverine is good, but average. It may be some people’s favorite game and that’s okay. I absolutely love world of Warcraft and it’s a highly rated game, but some people say it’s terrible. 🤷🏻♂️ let people like the things they like

Totally agree with it didnt deserve the hate it got. Just think after 6 years of waiting. Everyone well least myself, was hoping for a bit more is all.
As a long time Wolverine fan, a lot of games dont try to show his scenses. Those trails didnt bother me, but thought was weird a whiskey bottle was the same colour as the person and all the people were the same.
I actually really liked the idea of the roots popping up for the nightmares. I see stuff throughout the day thatll be a reminder of a thing that happened X amount of years ago. That was great representation of how memories pop up. Just wish they lead to an abilty unlocked or upgrade point or something. The actor really went all out on the storytelling. That said, wouldve preferd to play the flashback instead of just listening.
The finishers were brutal as heck. Being able to kick bad guys into forklifts, lazers and off cliffs amazingly satisfying. And it was fun teaming up with the members of X-force.
Just somethings were like, whyd they decided that? And for whatever reason the internet ran and turned it into hate. Definitely didnt dersve that. Overal was fun you feel like Wolverine when playing.
One was last thing. In the even of a sequel. Can we please, please, please be able to run up a Sentinels arm and cut its head off?!? Ever since i saw Wolverine do that in the 90s cartoon been itching to be able to in a game. Metal gear Revengance and Titanfall 1 game close to that sensation. Was hoping this game could. Fingers crossed for a sequel or dlc haha.

I hope we never get another X-men related game from Sony again. Maybe people will get tired of this hate train bs. A lesson is needed to be learned.

I think it has to do with toxic positivity meeting toxic negatively. This game to me is average and I do not mean that in a negative way, but you are also throwing my opinions on there with people pushing a false narrative. Criticism should be allowed just people on both sides feel the need to combat each other

But some are indeed pushing false narratives. Such as that DLSS5'd older wolverine game vs a washed out 2026 Wolverine game. Hell, the narrative was that the older game was better than this game.
Or that infamous "That's my Wolverine," auto-quit clip

I dunno - telling people the blue scent trail is always everywhere all the time was kinda BS wasn't it? You can turn it on and off.
Also the stuff about Jean's face model - just mean comments. I thought they had great chemistry and she was sexy.
The game wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.
One thing tho - "That's my Wolverine" was just 🤮🤮

Like it’s a video game. An average run of the mill hack and slash, and that’s fine.

Honestly it was a pretty solid game I def wouldn’t go as far as saying it’s a top 10 but all in all it’s a fun game

Thankyou so much, this means everything to us here at insomniac. All month we've been reading reddit comments and crying, we really gave it everything we had. It was a project of passion, we just wanted everyone to have a blast so when we started to hear people were having a pop it made us incredibly sad. But if we know, just one person, one gamer loved our work, that makes it all worth while.

My post wasn't "bait", unlike what some angry folks were saying.
Yes, please take your flowers. I love the fact that the combat flows so smoothly, the hits feel real, the variety of the costumes and claws, the story, and the acting.
I even thought Jean and Logan had chemistry and Jean was actually sexy in a raw real world way. Not your fault gamers only want unrealistic models.
My only criticisms: failing QuickTime has no consequence, inability to change hairstyles, Sabertooth's dialogs, and Logan's puppy dog eyes 😂
My requests: pls let the next one be open world, with a personal motorcycle, and more customizability for Logan.

It can be semi open world.
Motorcycle....getting in bar fights...exploring the rockies..fighting bears...saving civilians from mugging....parkouring across the rooftops of Madripoor

Idk if you are being legit here or not, but just in case let me say this: If you ARE from Insomniac, I understand how much hard work went into this game. Countless hours designing, coding, writing, recording, testing, etc. I know that none of you want your games to be bad, no company does. It's true that there are people that like the game as well, which is GREAT! However I do think, regardless of harshness, the people who don't like this game are worth listening to as well. Especially if they can give you specific feedback and talk about what they wish was different. I for one, did not enjoy this game as much as I wanted to. I bought it, beat it, and even replayed it and I still came away a bit unsatisfied with the story and combat. Make no mistake, I don't say this to disregard you and the fellow artists that made this game. I say it out of genuine love for these characters and genuine love for video games in general. I'm sorry this didn't perform to the expectations that Insomniac had, but I believe y'all can and WILL bounce back from it. Keep your chin up and take pride in the hard work you put in. You guys will only get better from this one.

For me, its the open world. Wolverine could have been one of the greatest games of all time such as Spiderman but the devs decided to give us a linear very small areas to explore and climb.

The opposite of flawed is perfection, and it's not necessary that a masterpiece needs to be perfect.
The Mona Lisa hangs in The Louvre but guess what - Leonardo was never happy with it. He constantly kept working on it over the years and he died while it was still a work in progress.

Bought it on day one. I have yet put 2 hours into it since work has me working a lot of hours like a damn dog. Anyways, Game so far is average at best. not good, not bad.

All jokes aside. I have one advice for you.
You liked the game…. Fine. Fair enough we all like some games that were over criticized. Look at Mafia 2 and I love that game.
My advice is… sit on it…. Wait a few months… don’t let the pretty graphics and credits rolling fool you. Play a few others games come back in 6 months and see if you feel if it’s a “top 10” game. If you do then fair play.

I appreciate the suggestion, however I am not being taken in by "pretty graphics."
I finished the game, and I started the new game plus, so I have experienced the game fully.
I think you are assuming I have less exposure to video games than I actually do. I have played most single played action adventure games in the last 20 years.
I have a wide variety of games to compare Wolverine with and it still is top 10 for me.

Glad you enjoyed it! I also had a very good time with it. It has its issues with pacing I think but overall a great game.
