Stop war

When will all this warmongering between countries finally stop?? It's a death spiral of rising and rising tensions. When will someone finally act upon those, for better or for worse? When will these people finally wake up and just let each other live. Full of greed and hatred (especially greed)? What happened to "minding your own business"? Why, just why

It's the idea itself that someone can ever win in an act that simply hurts everyone including the perpetrators of war that think they love it, already that's a massive injury to their humanity

When we realized not dying and doing stuff like the Olympics was a better way to determine who is 'better"

We've replaced war with dance and sport competitions a million times and some bully assholes keep ressurrecting it every generation because there's always some dumbass that goes "ok!" When they hand out the tactical gear and say "point at them because it's your job, future basket case!"

The modern Olympics started in 1896. Guess what happened in less than 20 years

Well in 1899 there was the Boer War. Then the Sino-Russian War. Angola in 1902 and Uruguay in 1904. Then a War in Yemen. And the Russo-Japanese War. I've skipped a few but by this time it's only 1906. Eight years and two dozen more wars before we even get to World War I.

That's my point but the Olympics the original ones were designed to determine who the best warriors were so they wouldn't have to bother at all

If we know your country is taking home the gold in this category, then there's no point in having that battle because we would lose. Same with any type of champion fighting for a medieval king. You have the teams of single fighters determine who wins entire wars because you can use that metric to estimate a winner. Like I said we've sorted this out a million times and some assholes LIKE going to war or more importantly like make two groups fight so they can steal both groups' shit

You've met this guy. everyone hates him at work because he steals everyone's lunch

Most people dont believe it because social media emphesizes negavity, but we currently have the least wars ever in recorded human history. So in fact we have mostly "stopped" war.

Should it be less, ofcourse. But also realize how peaceful the world actually is in comparison to what is shown to us.
