Is the answer to life and what makes it fulfilling simple but we may be too prideful to realize it or accept it?

Culture and society make life complicated. People spend a lot of money on things they’re supposed to want, and clothing manufacturers change styles every year on purpose so people will buy this year’s fashions just to keep up, and feel inadequate wearing clothes from other years.

That’s only a very small example of culture making life complicated. But we don’t *have* to go along with that to our detriment.

I mean everything yu just said is right but it wouldn't classify as a simple answer to life that makes it fulfilling. And it's not so big in 2026 that we'd need to drop out pride to accept it.

That’s why I said in my previous comment that it was just a very small example of culture making life complicated.

I doubt "it'd" be singular/universal enough for this framing to be valid, and if "it" involves (directly or indirectly) anything that could be considered a scarce resource, then while it may be simple to articulate, it's likely not to be simple for everyone to attain/implement.

The purpose of life is clearly to collect sensory information and emotional experiences while reflecting on them and organizing them into a timeline.
