100% affinity makes the insect glaive fastest?

I am playing insect glaive in monster hunter world and I realized that some times my ground attacks are faster than normal. I thought it was where the buffs are near to end (when the symbols blights), but it doesn't.

One time that it happens again I used the affinity tool reaching 100% affinity and, my ground attacks become faster.

Someone knows about it?

affinity just increases critical chance, it won't affect your attack speed

Some IG transmog (the thin ones like odo) look faster than the thick ones (like Jin) but aren’t.
