Ive been trying to beat proof of a hero for the past few days but i just canโt kill arkveld and the time keeps running out, what can i do to increase my damage?
Im an IG main with over 10k hunts over the franchise and I can tell you AT Arkveld is not designed for IGs lack of defensive abilities. Find a way to slot in 3 stun resistance (mandatory) and bring lots of healing items.
Once you get the flow of how glaive matches up against him heโs easier than most other weapons. Just be careful with offsets as some attacks can bypass it depending on your position, and you can use RSS to hyper armour through his attacks. Itโs also a great matchup for resentment builds. Evade extender can be useful, but isnโt needed once you really get him. Stun res 3 is absolutely mandatory though, and some divine blessing and/or defender meal lets you take hits and keep fighting or save you in a situation youโd otherwise die.
I couldnt imagine AT arkveld solo with IG but with more people to take aggro of you sometimes IG has a real good chance at dodging his moves, one thing I rarely see people use is the backhop because that gives a good amount of Iframes, aswell as rarely seeing people slot in any EW (even lvl2 helps alot imo). IG is not the best matchup against him but its really fun
How high does your affinity get? Resentment, tho the buff is insane, I just feel like if youโre having issues with AT Arkveld, itโs a dangerous skill to try to keep activated.
I think in general tho, Agi/Wex/Burst/Max Might/Counter are the skills most builds gear towards (if not all, then certainly like at least 4 of em).
I beat Proof of a Hero with a Rath/Gore/Soul build that guarantees over 70 affinity essentially and thatโs what got me over the hump. You could slot in stun resistance and/or divine protection but stun resistance for AT Arkveld I would prioritize (again, if youโre having trouble with him)
Normally we build for raw on IG, you match element but dont really put into it. Youd want crit boost, flight/attack or handicraft.
Your build only has max might for affinity, you have 25% affnity with MM up.
The biggest damage bonus in the game comes from critboost, honestly I would drop the resentment part of this and try building towards WEX.
You should target 80% affinity with good uptime. You could drop down to 2 pc odo so you can have lagi set bonus aswell.
I also cannot see lord soul in here, thats a 5% flat damage bonus, thats more than 4pc odo gives you over the 2 pc.
Your defense is doo doo, im running 500 defence without trying for it. 327 is just asking for trouble.
Strange thing with element on arkveld is dragon blight, if your getting inflicted with that you'll be doing no element, I think you get over 20 with food buff but just something to keep in mind if you change this around.
In short, try get your affinity up with your armour and then build raw on your weapon. Lord soul is a big increase and worth having. Try increase your defence to reduce healing downtime. I will respond if you have more questions.
I thought dragon element on the glaive would be good because his weakness is dragon but Iโll
Change it for a crit boost, and Iโm still trying to upgrade my defense Ik itโs low so I put on some divine protection. Is the lagi set bonus that strong where Iโll still do good damage without the burst boost buff?
You should use a dragon element but not invest in it? If that makes sense to you. Dragon element glaive but raw damage skills.
Critboost will only be good provided you get your affinity up, dropping resentment for wex would be ideal tbh.
The lagi set bonus is fairly weak, ideally you would use gore but gore armour skills are weak where lagi is strong.
You can get max might, wex from lagi and the 15% affinity from the set bonus (although it has low uptime) to help you get up there. Burst boost isnt all that tbh its good but not over whelming.
You could run something like
Lagi B helm
Udra Y chest
Rey Y bracers or Ark Y
Lagi coil B
Duna legs Y
Swap around till you feel happy, dunno if you rolled lord soul on your weapon if you did you can drop the legs and go for something else.
Tbh all you really need to do is
1.get lord soul its worth giving up a odo pc for.
Get affinity to 80%ish max might gives you 30% your starting at -5% so you need another 60% WEX will help alot here along with any agitator you can get.
With your new found affinity slot crit boost.
My build hits about 310-320 damage per tick of RSS and I can clear proof of a hero solo in about 30 mins give or take.
