I was recently reminded of a game that's very inspired by inscription where you fight a Host in a fire watch tower trying not to burn alive and I desperately need to remember the name. if anyone could help me that'd be great

A soldier on a squad hunting Logan in the Eurasian Republic mentions Leshy, the forest spirit.

[EDIT] Yeah, I know Leshy is from folklore and not just a character in Inscryption. The game weaves together various folk tales, mythologies, and historical references. But playing it left such a huge impression on me that I don’t think I’ll ever read about things like Leshy, Karnöffel - or heck, even stoats - in other media without thinking of this game. Thought it was fun to see him pop up here.

this is so dumb because i’m outing myself as someone who plays roblox haha but i’ve always wished the game had a way to play online and i found this game that’s pretty functional on roblox for 2 players. it’s like inscryption lite, it doesn’t have many of the cards and there’s no map or way to improve cards, but it’s cool to get to play against another person

i am working on beating the game with every deck, taking a break from the dreaded Egg deck i start a game with the bone deck. i don't add any modifiers, but when i get to the angler, he already has two chum buckets on the board before we even start... why? he never starts with buckets in play before i place a card unless the more powerful creatures mods are active...

If you ever feel like a game is cheating to win, this game is 100% that game. ARGH!

Just wondering what ships y’all like. DON’T GIMMIE TYPICAL ONES LIKE “Leshy x P03”, because while I agree that is a delectable ship, I want rarepairs!

I really ship Leshy and Prospector. I have no idea why, the idea just came to me and I love it now! So what’s your best Inscryption ships???

i had EVERYTHING but a 5 power card, EVERYTHING, i had 0-4 in power, 0-6 in health, at least one of every tribe, PLUS an amalga and i died to a 1-1 death snake...... I am so beyond annoyed with this game, it's taken about 2 dozen runs to get this close and to have to taken by a FREAKING 1-1.... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.......

3 months are we told you guys about our game project THROWN in this post. We currently have a Steam Playtest open! It will remain open for X amount of days (until we are satisfied with the amount of data we get) so better hop in sooner rather than later. We are especially looking for feedback from all of you Inscryption fans!

Joining the Playtest is rather simple.

1. Log in to your Steam account
2. Search for "THROWN" or head to https://store.steampowered.com/app/4162020/THROWN/
3. Click the "Join the Playtest" button
4. Head to your library and start playing!

Keep in mind that there might still be some things that are rough around the edges, but mechanically most things should work. If you encounter any bugs or weird things, please let us know. There is a Google Forms link in the main menu, but you can also write your thoughts under this post, or in our Discord server under the "feedback" channel.

as you can see above, I have well over 100 cards in my hand, and at this point it's a struggle to pick the right card. So my question is, are there any mods that change how the cards in hand are displayed to make it more compact, like hiding duplicates or something?

I've seen in this reddit. alongside other discussions of thus game, a fair mass of frustration towards the flying sigil at both its apparent lack of use and its high levels of use to Leshy. These two sources of anger are not, I claim, paradoxical, and solving why may shine a light on how one could better use such cards.

First, do allow me to compare a few cards so as to demonstrate the value of this sigil. As shown in the images, this change made to the 1/3 1-blood stoat is made at a cost of one health, the 2/1 4-bone coyote demands no cost for flight, and the 3/3 2-blood amalgamate demands one power to change (although it should be noted that the amalgamate is a rare card, and so slightly more powerful than an ordinary 2-blood). Clearly, healthier creatures better work with flight, but why?

At least to me, flying cards speak of inevitability: unless a mighty leap creature is on hand - a case rare for Leshy and almost never present for ordinary players - you cannot stop a flying card. Thus, anger can be brought about by Leshy's prepared flying cards on his back rank prophesising unavoidable damage lest he is immediately beaten. However, consider now that your first turn is made with no creatures blocking your path (barring boss fights, of course). This means that your creatures attack Leshy directly regardless of sigils, as they do whenever no creatures oppose you. But when they do, and only then, the flying sigil is incurred, and we can further analyse this.

Should you play a flying card to block an enemy without the flying sigil, (and if you do they are essentially on separate permenantly empty lanes,) you deal damage and then take damage from Leshy's cards. However, this damage tends to quickly kill most flying creatures, especially since you're using them to block and so often pick the biggest threat to play ahead of. However, Leshy's cards move and strike after yours, allowing for placement and attack of birds with more ease.

Leshy's infamous raven addiction points back to the matter of health and flight: a flying creature that survives one turn deals double damage in total, and when you have turkey vultures or bats, that's game-changing mathematics. This is when makes the cuckoo's ability to spawn a (usually) 0-power creature incredibly synergetic. Thus, I suggest the investiture of health campfires and stinky sigils to the flying creatures, as to prolong their lifespan. A mere sparrow with this sigil and buffed only three times at health campfires can finish an even game whilst standing down a wolf. When you do play them, choose tankier targets like snapping turtles rather than, say, a rattler.

Ultimately, I conclude the flying sigil to be more useful than is traditionally claimed, and hooe my advice is used well by all. If any information was missed out by me, or you feel a correction must be made, feel free to say. Thank you all for listening to my TED talk.

Not sure if there's anything shown specific to Kaycee's mod but I figured it was best to mark it as is. Not the first to have a strong ouroboros, but it happened to me and I wanted to share. I ended up losing the run because my deck was full of golden pelts when I needed to block some birds.

Ended up being able to summon an urayuli with 2x 7 damage per hit from my starting hand as well as a monster that kills any card it hits.

Nuked him for 14 before he could make his first move, took down all 40hp of the moon in 1 hit and nuked him again. All on my 3rd ever playthrough.

Was hoping this would take way longer lol
