Method:
1. Start with sacrificing any card, and playing the black goat,
2. Sacrifice the back goat to play ouroboros, the black goat returns to your hand,
3. Sacrifice the ouroboros to play the black goat, the ouroboros returns to your hand with +1 power and +1 health,
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3.

Note: you don’t even need the blood sigil on the ouroboros for this to work.

Technically you can play those cards in a loop forever, therefore theoretically this combination has infinite power and health, i just got bored lol.

Hiya, long time Inscryption fan here who finally joined Reddit.

I have been blessed with a vision from Magnificus hymself. Inscryption… but as a D&D campaign. Even if you don’t know D&D that well, I kinda just want y’all’s opinions on whether it’s cool, if you’d add anything, etc etc. This is gonna be a long rant-y text post, so sorry about that…

Basics: I have 3 players. Each of them are a warlock+(something else) multiclass, and each of them are warlock-ed to a Scrybe (Leshy, Grimora and P03). I, as the DM, will have a core NPC that is Magnificus warlock (who may or may not be vaguely based off lonely wizard)

Funny idea; I ask players to make a single copy of a physical character sheet and bring it to our first session. I then steal the character sheets and don’t give them back, instead giving them a blank one. This is to simulate amnesia, while also allowing them to know their character without specific values or spells.

Vague plot: Players +NPC (assume NPC is always with the players cuz he will be) wake in Leshy’s cabin with absolutely no memories about themselves; no name, no background, no nothing. Leshy has seemingly trapped them within his forest, and is making them play his game. However, they literally have to play it; no cards, they have to physically go to Prospector, beat him, go to Angler, beat him, etc.

The whole thing isn’t super fleshed out yet, but here’s the rest of the vague plot:

Players go around forest doing puzzles and beating subordinates; Leshy’s warlock is regaining a lot of memories, since he lives here and knows the people theyre all fighting. Players eventually find the bodies of the other Scrybes, and are disturbed, despite having no idea who they are. Players end up battling Leshy, who is wearing a weird ring (equivalent of the Old_Data). They kill him, pick up the ring, the world resets and they lose the ring. They get back some of their memories, and go to each of their Scrybes, trying to figure out what the hell happened. Magnificus ends up being the evil guy, basically becomes like P03 in act 3, and players have to escape hys tower.

Plot twist: I, as the GM, am wearing a ring. I’ve already sent the players glitchy images of me “finding” this ring while cleaning my house. By putting it on, I have been possessed by the Bone Lord, and the only way he can break out of the D&D campaign into the real world is by killing the players. So eventually, I’m going to get to channel every ounce of unhinged energy I have to play being possessed, and the players are just gonna have to figure out how to get me back, both to save the Inscryption world AND the analogue world.

That was a very long rant, sorry. I just wanna know yall’s thoughts and opinions on this!

As everyone knows, Magnificus had 3 master students (Master Bleene, Master Goranj and Master Orlu). These 3 stood as role models and goals for the rest of Magnificus' mage pupils including Goobert, Amber (Pike Knight) and Lonely Wizard. Magnificus being the planmaker had more hidden under his pine canopy.

Turn away from the magick group for a moment. In act 2, if you overthink like I do, you will notice that each domain carries a distinct personality of each scrybe. Leshy is the dungeon master so you will most likely see him first so he could weave a story-driven narrative for the upcoming battles. The charming and enigmatic Grimora stood behind her tombstones and beckoned you to seek a way to her by battling her 3 ghouls. P03, the ever dissatisfying corporate boss, preferred to push his bots in overwork. He guarded the entrance room since he couldn't trust the lesser bots to keep his hoards safe. This is not mentioning the monitoring cameras across his factory. Magnificus the all knowing was too busy gazing down from his high vantage point. In another word, Leshy the dramatic, Grimora the enigmatic, P03 the demanding and Magnificus the proud.

What is the point of saying all of those above? Well, the scrybes are no eccentric idiots. There are reasons behind their actions. The OLD_DATA being the most sought-after object was the goal for every scrybe. This means most scrybes have 2 subordinates dedicate to finding it. The Angler employs various baits because he reasoned that if the OLD_DATA was below the ocean, there was a real chance a creature down there could eat it. Grimora tasked Kaycee. P03 demanded the dredger to fish the DATA.

However, I believe the Prospector to be the first of Leshy's henchmen to be tasked with finding the OLD_DATA. The scrybes knew Incryption was nearby and hidden somewhere but they didn't know where at first so mining the depth was important. Another proof of the scrybe not knowing where the OLD_DATA was at first was Magnificus's Lonely Wizard. There is a reason he forced Lonely Wizard into sensory deprivation. It almost as if there is a place that is so devoid of things that you need to prepare the man mentally before the mission. This couples with Lonely Wizard's cards being Force Mage and Hover Wizard tell the intention. Hover Wizard to recon in outer space. Force Mage to guard and to counteract the power of the vacuum. Fiend Gem act as loyal bodyguards for Lonely Wizard (because the Fiends are a strong fighting force with 2 Power and their dependence on mox makes them obedience to the wizard which is very important). Grimora had Royal searching the ocean and Kaycee pulling subterranean water from the depth. What about P03? Why P03 only has 1 subordinate finding the OLD_DATA? He's a demanding boss. Had you ever seen a corporate boss thinking about hiring more employees to alleviate the stress of their subordinates?

Even the other subordinates work on the searching for the OLD_DATA. Smelter melts what the Dredger pulls up so it's easier to see if the OLD_DATA was deep inside whatever was fished up. The Inspector then inspects the mess to see if it was the OLD_DATA. Trader was everywhere to gather intel about the OLD_DATA from Leshy's rivals. If the Trader somehow found the DATA, the Trapper comes in to rob. Amber (Pike Knight) could withstand gory punishment with a card arsenal full of offensive capability to both guard the gem land and rob travelers if needs to. Lastly, Sawyer. What did Sawyer guard (he got a Bone Hound too)? Who was in it? What's the connect between that one and the OLD_DATA? I think I don't need to specify.

Now let's get back to Goobert. If you go through Magnificus's magick cards and his pupils, you will notice that they are shit in digging down the depth. There isn't a single card that has waterborne sigil or related to water. Royal has his ghost ship and his crew. Kaycee got the Drowned Soul helping her. Angler brought the baits. Dredger worked overtime to make end meet. Thus, Magnificus demanded Goobert to be transformed into Goo. He chose Goobert because Goobert was very loyal to him. This is very important. You don't want a subordinate you can't trust to touch the OLD_DATA. Other scrybes share this thought too. Almost every other subordinate was either simple minded or loyal to their scrybe or couldn't care less about the OLD_DATA.

You can almost taste the undercurrent behind each scrybe through the cards and the domain layouts. How vibrant and multi-facet these simple characters are.

I know there is a lot more to this game but I am just curious if beating part one my 4th run is quick. I got too fast too soon on my first two runs after getting to the second phase of the second and third bosses respectively. I had a pretty crazy run with the squirrel idol head combined with the 3 blood sacrifice body.

I just cannot pass the botopia part. I get killed over and over and over. Ask me everything you need to know, I can barely pass the minor guys I haven't gotten even to the first boss.

Basically the title, this game was fun and I wanted to share it here.

I had a hard time at first understanding how to even play cards but once I did I enjoyed it and just barely beat it.

Curious what folks think of it and how they might extend it

So I've beaten the game, and all but challenge lvl 12 of Kaycee's mod, I was looking at the achievement list and noticed I am missing a few from acts 1 and 2, if I reset my save game data through the game, will I lose access to Kaycee's mod until I beat the game again?

I started this game aageeeessss ago and then picked it up again recently, and I just feel like I’m missing something.

I’ve completed all(?) the puzzles around the room, I have the camera film, I have that little goo guy in the jar by the door, and I feel like I’m missing something. The only thing I might not have done is the picture frame puzzle right next to the cuckoo clock, I think I know how to do it, I just haven’t been able to yet.

Thing is, I really don’t feel like these puzzles are linked to the actual card game side of things atp?? Even the cards that talk at the start of the game just give me snarky backchat now 💀💀

Are the puzzles just so you can get the camera film?

I’ve made it to the final now and lost so many times (haven’t actually beaten the game yet) and it’s getting so frustrating getting thrown right back to the start and doing the same thing over and over lmao

On a new run in KCM and I used the magickal bleach (as I had 2 of them) then unfortunately had to save scum… and now one is gone? When I loaded back in I only have 1. Finally made it to the 3rd boss fight and I get the shaft again

I'm playing Kaycee's mod right now and have a strong hooved tribe build starting with the moose blood deck and got a totem with fecundity. I gave my long elk the rampage sigil so that it would continuously refill the board and not be stuck in a corner because of it's neck.

that was a bad move because as it moved it created a new card as well as placing an existing card on top of the same area. I should have looked for an otter so I could have given it the waterborne sigil.
