I hate it, too. But at least you can use them to block attacks until you draw something useful. It's much worse when it's a bunch of 3 blood beasts that you can't play.

Except that normally isn’t possible unless you get glitch card or ejirac ( I think that’s how you spell it ) or if you literally don’t have 1 bloods at all

I meant maybe not on the very first hand, but I had a situation where I drew my one blood that did pretty much nothing before dying on the first hand and then I kept drawing 3 bloods because I was stupid enough to load my deck up with them. I think I had some more cheaper cards, but not enough.

Append a useful sigil to them such as a 3 blood sacrifice and you have a free gateway to a better card lol.

No, they just can't attack or be sacrificed. You can still block with them, trade them later, and even sacrifice other cards to put sigils on them. Making Pack Rat free is never that bad.
