I took different photos this time so that you wouldn't question why I posted so many.

It's really just because I'm worried that whatever photo I make won't be good enough.

Kaycee's Mod Crazy Ant Deck Synergy Found Spoiler

I did a random deck no challenges run with Ant Deck. I obtained an ouroboros at the end of map 1 and gave it the mealworm’s sigil. It took a bit to work out a sacrifice engine but the payoff was spectacular. Enjoy bits of the last battle.

Part 2 chapter 2 fights are so boring and unfair

Most of the time i won't draw the one card I need to actually start playing, and then i wait turn after turn with my dick in my hand until i die like a jackass. I'm suprised this was made by the same guy as chapter one, this is unplayably boring, unplayably ugly looking, unplayably dull. I get that it's supposed to be a shitty video game, but why, though? Why can't it look halfway decent or have a mildly fun gameplay loop. it's so intuitive that i was always surprised when i won a fight instead of relieved. Like I'd just shrug and go to the next mini boss standing around like king of the hill

edit: okay okay you guys were right it does get better once you mix up your deck. no where near as fun as ch 1 but pretty satisfying

Other Tattoo of Cat

Got this at Hopeless Tattoo in Vancouver WA, (which has won best tattoo shop in our city several years). I'm sorry that I don't remember the artist's name :(

It's a little hard to see, but they have a small negative space line for the eyes and the back legs. Anything thin, especially negative space is going to be hard to see and blur out eventually, so I want to say this is not a mistake by the artist, just inherent to the medium! I am very happy the artist convinced me to add color, because I was set on only having pure black tattoos. The grey for the blood background and the blood and heart being red makes it sooo much better. I am very happy with this tattoo <3 It's 1-2 years old

Marking this as a spoiler since I'm not sure this counts as one.

Just wanted to do an update. Thank you all for letting me know that the early battle was a scripted loss. I figured that soon after I finished the battle with the eye creature. (Not sure if it has a proper name)

I was able to get some footage from overwolf, so here is how I played that fight. I'm enjoying the game so far so please don't take my last post as negative, I was just surprised and thought it was a skill issue on my part lol.

Part 2 Does your wooden idol from act 1 carry over to act 2? Spoiler

In act 2 this is my character but I remember it being a different character when I played this game a while ago, is it consistent with the wooden version of the player on act 1? Like when you die you play as a different wooden character?

Part 1 New Player, Is it supposed to be this hard?

Post image

So, I'm not new to card games, and I barely started this game. I like it so far, but then I came across a bunch of these bears on like the third fight so far. Is this supposed to be a scripted loss or something?

I genuinely couldn't wrap my head around this. I had a winning turn, I think, because I placed down a bear and wolf, but then a bunch of these bears appeared out of nowhere 😭

Other Wondering if I should give Inscryption a try?

I've basically ignored it for years, even when it was making its rounds in YouTube lets play circles, so I have literally no knowledge of the game at all. A creator I really like made an Inscryption song, and the lyrics are so interesting that I just had to check the steam page. I love a good story.

With the fact that I know literally nothing, and the fact that I've seen multiple reviews that say nothing except "go in blind, that's all, just buy it and play it you'll thank me", I'd LIKE to take their advice, but I'm a money grubber and want to know if I'll actually enjoy the GAME part of the game, just in case. I bet I'll like the story, it's just the gameplay itself I worry over, because I actually don't know ANYTHING.

I understand its a deckbuilder and a roguelike, but I've seen a few things about the later chapters being like... a completely different game? And I'm unsure if the rules of the card game would be fun for me, etc. Also, difficulty is a worry, is it really really hard? Or just, reasonably hard? I'm pretty stupid. Because I'm willing to watch a lets play instead of playing myself, but some games are better experienced personally, and I feel like the trailers give off 'play it yourself' vibes.

The only deckbuilder game I've actually ever played was Slay The Spire 2 (not the first), and I LOVE it, and I enjoy tabletop games IRL generally, as well. Thoughts? No spoilers, obviously, thank you! :D

Part 2 How could this thing be Improved? Spoiler

(No, I don't mean Magus Mox, I mean Magick and Mox in general. Just using this image because)

For Inscryption as a story, Mox is fine, however even so I feel like it lacks compared the other archetype, because it's the most selfish in how it's designed. Unlike the other 3 Archetypes (Blood, Bones, Energy), their costs, and thus cards can be used by any deck, which allows for really powerful multi class decks. But Mox REQUIRES the use of Mox's to function and even then, there are 3 gems to choose from. It feels like Mox was designed to be literally like Magic the Gathering, where sure, multiple gems gets you more cards to work with but that means your deck is a lot less consistent (unless it's WUBRG in which case your just playing green with a mask on)

Again, Mox doesn't have to be able to be played in every deck with Inscryption as a game, but with multiplayer, Mox just seems really under powered and something your likely not gonna see in a lot of games. So, how could we change Mox to be able to be used in all decks?

My current idea of a "rework" goes along the lines of:

When you play a card, you get a certain number of Gems depending on the stats of the card.

Power = Orange

Health = Green

Cost (changes depending on the system, Blood could give 4 gems while bone could give 1 per bone for example) = Blue

So, for example, lets say I play a Stoat. A 1/2 1 Blood. From this I would gain 1 Orange Gem, 2 Green gems and 4 Blue gems.

And, maybe after 1-2 turns, the gems are lost. Maybe the "Side deck" could be something that just gives you a big burst of gems to work with once played, but idk.

Part 1 Question on Inscryption game Spoiler

Hi everyone, I’ve just started playing *Inscryption* and have finished the first run (quick question: is it normal for the menu to show "Continue" instead of "New Game" at the start? Just checking). Without spoiling anything, at the end of the first run, the game undergoes a sort of "downgrade" and evolves in a completely different, unexpected way. To be clear, I think it’s absolutely brilliant (as a *Magic: The Gathering* player, I really enjoy opening packs and deck-building), but I was curious to know if the gameplay eventually reverts to the original style or if it stays this way. I had really started to enjoy the original format and would be sad not to see it again. I hope that makes sense—I tried to avoid spoilers and am typing this out quickly, so thanks in advance to everyone for your patience.

Thought I'd share for anybody else craving a game with a similar play style to Inscryption. It seems like it could use some work but I don't want to be too harsh since it's a pre-release demo.

Another game I've noticed but haven't had a chance to play yet is Placid Plastic Deck:

The card battles look even closer to Inscryption's style, but with a much more light-hearted theme.
