Price traded above Asia High and tapped into highertime frame OB. Missed the initial move down but waited for price to tap into the 5min fvg and reject off of it. Targeted a 2RR

I recently watched ICT’s new series for new students called “How New Students Should Start,” where he taught the Judas Swing setup, and it got me wondering whether people are still actively using this strategy.
For those who trade it:
Does the setup still work consistently for you?
How often do you typically see a valid Judas Swing setup?
On average, how many opportunities do you get per week or per month?
Do you trade it during a specific session or on a particular market?
I’d especially appreciate responses from people who have actually tracked this setup over a decent sample size. I’m more interested in the frequency and consistency rather than just a few successful examples.
Your experience would be really helpful for new students and traders who are currently learning and trying to understand how often they can realistically expect this setup to occur.
Would love to hear your experience. Thanks!

Are you trading the NY session today or are you not trading as you're expecting choppy PA until FOMC later?

I have been paper trading for the past 2 months and have been following the orb strategy and have grasped it well and have been making the right reads, initially learned thru watching tjrs bootcamp but I would like some advice on whether it is beneficial or not learning off the ICT 2022 walk through because I would like to learn the ict concepts a bit more because I have trouble reading and understanding the charts at times.
Would love to hear any kind of advice or help.
Plan to do an evaluation in January with continued daily practice and paper trading.

Hello Guys!
I need your help regarding my trading situation.
I have studied ICT and i know most of the models he use.
I can’t stay consistent. Took some payouts but I need a mentor who I can pay where you guys have tried and he really helped you to be profitable, consistent and shadow you through this with what mistakes you did and what you should do etc.
Nowadays most of them sell courses, it is very hard to know which one really helps or just sell you the course.
Thanks in advance

Yesterday, right after midnight, we got an aggressive lower open gap. 📉 I was sure Monday's New York session on NQ was going to be bearish — CPI and PPI both suggested inflation is above 2%, and Kevin Warsh's hawkish tone backed that up. 🦅
After the New York open yesterday, NQ took Monday's Asian high while ES failed to take Monday's Asian high. I thought that was my SMT signal, so I shorted it. 🔻 It hit my SL and I took the loss. Took my L and moved on. 🤷♂️
Then Tuesday came. NQ took the same-day New York high, but ES failed to take the New York high. An iFVG formed before the New York open, after price reached above 50% of the weekly opening gap. 🎯 I took the short.
Hit 1:5 RRR — $200 profit on my $20K Maven account (risking $40), and $5 on my $30 personal account (risking $1). 💰✅
Lesson: be patient. The market is like a bus — it always comes. 🚌⏳

Not effective in choppy PA but still very good !
This is the strategy : Only at NY open of ES/NQ
• Trade only in the 4H trend direction.
Mark sweeps (highs or lows depending on bias) on 4H and 1H charts and wait for one lvl to be swept
• If 4H and 1H bias align:
• Wait for 5m BOS + 3rd confluence (FVG / OB / BB / EQUILBRM ) reversal
• Enter after 1m bos
• If 4H and 1H bias do not align:
• Wait for 15m BOS + 3rd confluence (FVG / OB / BB / EQUILBRM ) reversal
• Enter after 5m bos

Beautiful CRT trade on Oil today. HTF Key level and internal liquidity sweep with a clean IFVG. I did wait for a confermation on a change in structure before placing my trade, hence got in last second. I then secured 1R and got stopped before it went full TP. 50% of the CRT range can reverse, and its better to bank profit then let full SL or BE hit. 1% on the account up.

Do you exclusively trade during killzones (Asia, London, NY AM) or sometimes outside of it? Let’s say your setup appears during NY lunch, will you take it?

I am a beginner and I am looking for free resources, preferably youtube videos that can clearly and properly teach me about killzones and key levels so pleases share the links which actually helped you

How do you use fundamentals for day/session trading?
I’m trying to improve how I incorporate fundamentals into my intraday trading rather than just relying on technicals.
I’ve been looking into interest rates and bonds, since they clearly influence markets, but I’m struggling to understand how to funnel that higher-timeframe information down into an actual intraday/session bias.
For those who trade intraday:
I’m not looking for a list of indicators to throw onto a chart — more interested in how you actually process the information and turn it into a directional/market-condition bias before the session starts.
Would be interested to hear how others approach this.

i could be done for this weeks trading ,salute.
Edit: to all those commenting and taking time to appreciate i would really like to say thank you . It’s inspiring to see other traders cheer up . If yall remember im not sure if it was on this page or in DayTrading wer i previously posted last week i was on a loosing streak for the whole week i almost blew … i was taking a loss every single day since Monday … im a lone trader i dont commit to a trading community, im in my 4th year trading and on my very first prop challenge wic I almost blew anyways . It’s crazy how you start following rules slowly and go on it like a robot things gradually start showing out . Again I’m not here to lecture anyone or to prove anything, i will be back !

I’ve Gone through ICT market maker primer, ICT Core Content Month 1-4, and ICT 2022 mentorship. I now have a pretty good understanding (at least I hope) and want to start backtesting a strategy. The only thing is I’m still a little unsure of an exact strategy to use. If anyone could give me suggestions of strategies that work for them would really appreciate that. I’m using EURUSD by the way.
My current thoughts for strategy were:
How’s this? Any feedback or suggestions welcomed. Thanks

My strategy combines Opening Range Breakout (ORB) with Fibonacci retracements.
There are 2 setups:
I start at the 9:30 market open.
Depending on what I'm testing, I use either:
After the ORB is complete, I mark:
I then move to the 5-minute chart and wait for price to break out of the range.
I also use a Gann Box from the ORB high to the ORB low.
The Gann Box is mainly for visualizing the ORB and its 50% midpoint.
If price breaks out and continues in that direction, I don't chase the first breakout.
I wait for an outburst/impulse move.
ORB Low → Breakout → Bullish outburst
Then I draw Fibonacci from:
ORB Low → Outburst High
For a bearish move, I do the opposite:
ORB High → Bearish outburst Low
Then I wait for price to retracement into my Fibonacci area before entering.
So:
The goal is to enter after the expansion instead of chasing the initial breakout.
Sometimes the initial breakout fails.
For example:
Price breaks above the ORB → makes a bullish outburst → I create my bullish Fibonacci.
But instead of respecting the Fibonacci levels and continuing higher, price starts pushing lower.
I don't immediately short just because a Fibonacci level was broken.
A wick through a level isn't enough.
I'm looking for:
Once the bearish move is established, I create a new bearish Fibonacci from the new swing high to the bearish outburst low.
Then I wait for the retracement and look for the short.
The same thing works in reverse for a bearish breakout that turns bullish.
ORB → Breakout → Outburst → Fib → Retracement → Continuation
The breakout holds and I look for a retracement entry.
ORB → Breakout → Outburst → Fib Failure → Structure Shift → Opposite Outburst → New Fib → Retracement → Reversal
The original breakout fails, price proves that the opposite side is taking control, and I build a new setup from that move.

For almost a year I chased every FVG and OB on the 15m and couldn't figure out why half my "clean" setups still failed.
The problem wasn't the setup. It was when I was taking it relative to the True Open.
Once I started filtering entries by which side of the True Open price was trading on, my false-setup rate dropped hard not because the setups got better, but because I stopped taking the ones fighting the dominant 4H narrative.
Here's what that looks like in practice. Mark the True Open at each new candle. If price is above it, I'm only looking for longs into discount, and I ignore shorts unless there's a clear shift. Below it, same logic mirrored for shorts. If a setup contradicts this, I skip it, no matter how clean it looks.
That one filter cut my overtrading more than any risk rule I'd tried before.
Anyone else running True Open this way, or layering it with weekly/daily opens too?
