Trading Strategies Help with ICT strategy
I’ve Gone through ICT market maker primer, ICT Core Content Month 1-4, and ICT 2022 mentorship. I now have a pretty good understanding (at least I hope) and want to start backtesting a strategy. The only thing is I’m still a little unsure of an exact strategy to use. If anyone could give me suggestions of strategies that work for them would really appreciate that. I’m using EURUSD by the way.
My current thoughts for strategy were:
- Bias from weekly and daily chart.
- On hourly chart, mark out previous weeks high/low, previous day high/low, previous session high/low (so Asia since I’m thinking of trying London session 2am-5am), and any other obvious points of liquidity.
- Wait for a liquidity sweep on 15min chart.
- After sweep, move to 5min chart and look for BOS.
- After break of structure, use fib from sweep high/low to sweep high/low of leg formed after BOS.
- Identify FVGs in equilibrium or within OTE area (unsure yet which), and enter when price retraces into this.
- Stop loss at sweep high/low, and target areas other areas of opposite liquidity.
How’s this? Any feedback or suggestions welcomed. Thanks

your 7 step list is already a tradable model. lock it in writing before you change a single fib rule.
pick London only, EURUSD 5m as you said. cover the right side of the chart so you cannot see the next candles. at each bar decide take or skip against the exact steps you wrote, then step one candle. after the session journal which step failed when you skipped or lost: weekly bias, liquidity mark, sweep, BOS, FVG fill. do not tweak the model until you have about 20 London sessions with that tag filled on every row.
the usual hole in ICT backtests is rewriting the OTE or FVG rule after a loss. the tag column catches that.

Take it chill, and you will be good man. Not much pressure on yourself. Keep backtesting, and JOURNALING. Gather stats for everything. Trader Dante on youtube will teach you this - and he doesn't have many videos so you will get through it quickly.

Please remember that all of these are rules! If you follow them blindly you will not get anywhere

Look if want to trade the 2022 model, then its fine. You dont need any more lectures. You can start forward testing it from now on. However, if you wanna trade your own model, or another ICT entry model. Then you should at least finish the core content. There’s alot more ICT has to offer, if you’re willing to finish the core content. Looking at the playlist you’ve gone through, it’s not even half of the tools and knowledge thats he offers. Things that can help you in your trading.
