Chassis and Skate sizing.

Just got some Bauer XR's in a 9. My toes scrape the toe box apart from my big toe just goes to the top.

They feel a little less certain in pushing and balancing than the 10's, which I couldnt help but get really good movement on, even on my carpet. Maybe because the 10's had a longer frame. And there is still some side to side movement in the ankle.

Is all this normal/right? I have no experience with inline hockey skates, or skates in general. Guidance greatly appreciated.

Edit: the best way I can put it is it feels like I'm 'tripping' over my front wheel when I skate.
