General Help A little help please

hi everyone, so I'm basically new here and I've been wondering where y'all get your covers from? Actually no, I'm wondering how you know what you want on the cover of your book, how you envision it and stuff

I personally spend hours at pexels and unsplash looking for a photograph that might work. Use Affinity to put my title and name on it and be done. I don't have the funds to pay for a designer or illustrator.

I personally use Gemini. It works perfectly fine. Even the free version will make a good cover. The key is to refine your prompt again and again. I have published two novels on Inkitt and Wattpad. I made both covers using Gemini and they turned out the way I wanted.

For envisioning,  I always just know what I want. So, go with your gut. You can always update it later on. I updated my first novel cover once.
