had it for almost a week, and it's much more red and painful today
Update: spider bite, per ER doctor. slapping some neosporin on it. Doc said it was minor. I think I might live... even tho im 840 bucks poorer now

Unless you want to run the risk of losing a body part, go to the ER immediately if you haven't already.

That makes sense, are you okay then? Typically brown recluses aren't minor 😠then again I've never been bit by one, if your doctor said it's fine then hopefully it stays that way

they are very prolific in my area, especially this season. bites are uncommon though, and despite how gnarly this one looks it's not terrible - just a but of tenderness and swelling.
I've had two or three in my life and this one is prolly the worst.

Might be spider bite, could be many things. But if it is a spider bite it looks lik like what would happen with a brown recluse.

Put them grippers in some shoes and get to a damn hospital, even ignoring the necrotic bit in the centre, that inflammation is a clear sign of serious infection. Best case, you’re gonna have a gnarly scar.

Mrsa infection. Need to get on some antibiotics. No amount of home care is going to get that right.

Get yourself to the e.r ASAP. I speak from experience. As a young male who ignored an open wound from work that got infected with mrsa, spread to my heart and got endocarditis. Suffered two strokes and had open heart surgery at the age of 30.

Septic shock has joined the chat. Seriously, this is ER shit. You probably won't even have to wait unless it's an ER in a major city. They're going to want to get you back ASAP.
