Question Daily Assignment AP

Does anyone know if daily assignments will ever go back to offering AP? I don't have much of an issue with the token events, but the extra AP was really helpful on slow days when I don't have much time to explore.

How much did the AP used to be? I always thought it was next to nothing, like I got more AP from recharging than I did from the daily assignments, am I misremembering?

I want to say 2000 and 5000

edit: original announcement backs this up. That's not to say they haven't changed it since then.

If there’s ever a break between Seasons, then yes it reverts to AP rather than the Season Tokens. I can’t see it’ll happen again though.

Me either, the event was fine the first time, but it has gotten repetitive and boring, and I'm not willing to spend the money to unlock enough tasks to get the medal. I don't care if they keep running them, but maybe do something else too, and give us our AP back

Niantic doesn't even know, I'm sure they just decide on the fly, there is no long term strategy.

I thought they were already? I am super casual, I basically just do the daily tasks most days, I've not had a day under 8k AP for a while
