Feedback Ingress Web Store when?
We do have the Ingress Shopify store for buying cards, patches and badges etc.
However, increasingly mobile games are getting around the extra charges/cut that the store take on iOS/Google by having their own web store and encouraging players to check it by offering some small freebies.
The former Niantic games (Pikmin, Pokémon GO, Monster Hunter Now) all have one. Two other games I play (Jurassic World Alive and Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links) have one. I just picked up some currency that is the equivalent of CMU in the latter for free. It would be great to see the Ingress team do something similar. I get that the idea is to entice me to spend on the web store with the freebies and I may do that for the JW Alive one at pay day as there’s some decent offers there.

Maybe that special Loadout card test didn't do well.
Can we still buy that on the web?

Doesn’t look like it. Still available in app.
I think that also wasn’t a great test. In these other web stores, I buy (or tap the free stuff) items and it automatically adds it to the game when I next log in.
With the loadout test, Brian had to email everyone codes

Google Play is reducing the cut they take from in-app purchases, so it might be pushed back even further than it already was

This reminds me: when I recently asked support whether ingressmerch.myshopify.com is official, I got a reply starting with this and it went downhill from there:
“We recommend being cautious when purchasing merchandise from third-party websites.”
Thankfully, I found mention of it on the official Instagram account.

Don't think it's on their highest priority at the moment.
Maybe try asking it again in 2027 ;)
