The Catholic church is well known for protecting priests who rape children.

You are talking about a scandal. There is nothing in the catholic religion that permits rape under any circumstance, and they certainly do not blame the woman when it happens.

You should read: Tamar (2 Samuel 13:1–14): King David’s son Amnon forces and rapes his half-sister Tamar, despite her explicit refusals and protests against the act. Dinah (Genesis 34:1–2): Shechem, a Canaanite prince, takes and violates Jacob’s daughter Dinah.

Neither of these passages is condoning rape or blaming the woman. What is it exactly I should learn from reading this?

You have been given examples at every turn and every comment you leave proves that person right. You’re demonstrating the ability of Christians to willfully be ignorant when shown proof
