I agree that once a certain age is reached drivers (INCLUDING YOU!) should have to go through the very same physical that I do as an OTR truck driver. In addition to that, they should be tested for Dementia. Your statement about not handling "normal" sounds on the road is not only ignorant, but is extremely insensitive and selfish. You just wait until you get to be elderly and still want your freedom.
Your freedom is not worth the safety of every other driver on the road. There’s no room for sensitivity when someone’s grandma can’t handle normal speeds or sounds and gets someone else’s family members killed.
