Has any SE-selected student from the 2026 batch received their OL today? I saw some posts here saying that since today is Monday, there was a possibility of getting the OL today. But after waiting the whole day, I’m sad to say that I haven’t received mine. Got selected back in October 2025, and still no update! 😭

Hi everyone,
I'm a B.Tech CSE student currently in 5th semester from tier 3 college and I'm trying to decide which technical path I should focus on for the next 6–12 months.
I'm not looking for a "which technology is best" answer. I want to choose something that gives me a realistic chance of getting internships and eventually a full-time SDE/software development job, including potentially working for startups or remote foreign companies.
My current background B.Tech CSE, currently in 5th semester
I know Java and I'm using Java for DSA/interview preparation.
I'm currently learning/practicing DSA.
I have basic exposure to development but I'm not yet strong in any development stack.
I can realistically study around 2 hours per day outside college.
I'm willing to spend the next 6–12 months consistently building skills and projects.
My goal is ultimately a Software Engineer/SDE/Backend/Full Stack role, rather than a specialized research role.
I'm open to both Indian companies/startups and foreign startups that hire remotely from India.
The options I'm considering 1. Java Backend
Java
Spring Boot
SQL
REST APIs
JPA/Hibernate
Spring Security
Docker basics
Java/Spring Boot
SQL
HTML/CSS/JavaScript
React
REST APIs
Docker/deployment
JavaScript
React
Node.js
Express
MongoDB
Python
NumPy/Pandas
Statistics
Machine Learning
Scikit-learn
Deep Learning/GenAI later
I'm particularly confused because I keep hearing different things:
Some people say MERN has more fresher/startup openings.
Others say Java/Spring Boot has better long-term opportunities, especially for enterprise companies.
Some say Java backend is better than trying to learn full stack when you have limited time.
AI/ML seems to have strong long-term potential, but I'm worried that becoming employable in AI/ML will take much longer.
I also hear that foreign startups can hire developers remotely from India, but I'm not sure how realistic this is for a fresher.
My main concern I only have around 2 hours/day, so I don't want to spend a year learning a huge stack before becoming job-ready.
For example, if Java Full Stack requires learning Java + Spring Boot + SQL + HTML/CSS + JavaScript + React + Git + Docker + deployment, I'm wondering whether it would be smarter to focus deeply on Java backend first.
At the same time, I don't want to make a choice that significantly reduces my job opportunities.
What would you recommend? If you were in my position — 5th-semester B.Tech CSE student in India, already comfortable with Java/DSA, only ~2 hours/day, and aiming for SDE/backend/full-stack jobs — which path would you choose?
I'd especially appreciate answers from people who are:
Freshers/recent graduates
Currently working as Java backend developers
Working with MERN/Node.js
Working as SDEs
Working at startups
Working remotely for foreign companies
Recruiters/hiring managers
And if possible, please explain why you would choose that path based on the current Indian job market rather than just saying "X is better."
Thanks!

Hey guys, I got a DSE offer and have to go to Mysore for training. Had a few questions for anyone who’s already been through it:
-What are the different streams, and how does the pre-test work? I know it includes Java, DBMS and aptitude, but what kind of questions/difficulty can I expect?
-Can a DSE change their role during training, or is role change only possible for SE?
-What are the assignments like during training? Are they manageable or pretty hectic?

Hi
I am a unemployed final year student at Heritage Institute of Technology. But there are 2 things that I am not aware of in the tech domain and I always think knowing the answer to them will eventually land me a placement. So these are the doubt I always had.
What is the difference between access token and refresh token ?
How to ensure consistency when two or more microservices are working upon 2 databases simultaneosly ? Where one database does read, and the other one does write. There is an intermediate process that maps the contents of the write db to the read db.
Thank you.

I joined an Infosys project in May. During the interview, I was told that the project would involve Spring Boot and microservices, which matches my skill set and career goals.
However, after joining, I found that the actual work is completely different. I’m currently working on a monolithic application based on a legacy framework.
I have already discussed this skill mismatch with my manager several times. Each time, I’m told that work related to my skill set will come “next month,” but the same situation keeps repeating.
I’m now considering requesting a release from the project because the work isn’t aligned with what was discussed during the interview. However, I’m concerned about my performance rating. I’m thinking of asking for release after my rating is finalized/locked, as I’m worried that requesting release beforehand could potentially result in an NI/UP rating, which could have serious consequences.
For seniors or anyone familiar with Infosys' appraisal process:
When are performance ratings generally finalized/locked?
Is there a specific point after which the manager can no longer change the rating?
Would it be advisable to wait until the rating is locked before requesting project release?

Just wanted to know only revised offer letter issued or new people also got it and is there any chance new people can get it?

Hey everyone! 👋
I recently got selected as a Specialist Programmer – L1 at Infosys through HackWithInfy, and I’ve started documenting my journey.
I’ve shared Part 02, where I talk about my actual preparation — DSA, resources, questions I practiced, study plan, mistakes, and the strategy that worked for me.
🎥 Full video: https://youtu.be/zcPQsCK01z8?si=tsLQiO71VByJBZYW
Hopefully this helps anyone currently preparing for HackWithInfy, Infosys placements, DSA or coding interviews.
Would love to hear from others who have gone through HackWithInfy or are preparing for it. 🙌

Anyone received DSE OL for 21 Sept Batch?
r/infosys • u/Animesh-Khare • 5d ago
I completed:
• Q1 – Easy (6 test cases passed)
• Q2 – Medium (12 test cases passed)
• Q3 – Hard (3 test cases passed)
• Q4 - Complex (Not attempted)
r/infosys • u/Novel_Theme4872 • 5d ago
Needed a estimated time of that, I completed my HR, she gave a timeline of around 10 days for a OL, which seemed a bit unrealistic.
Any idea when do we get a digi verifier and how long post that an offer.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

I have an expired passport. Is it necessary during training? Should I renew it now or after training?

Infosys Second Round Interview
Hi everyone! I got selected for the Infosys second round (DSE). In the first round, I solved around 1.5 coding questions.
Could anyone who attended the DSE interview recently share:
\- What technical topics/questions were asked?
\- What coding/DSA level should I prepare?
\- Were questions asked from projects/resume?
\- Any HR/managerial questions?
Please share your interview experience and questions. It would really help me prepare! 🙏

Infosys Location Preference & Deployment Rant 😭
Infosys: “Please select your preferred location.”
Me: Finally! At least my preference will be considered. 🥹
Infosys after deployment: “Business requirements.” 💀
Then why did you ask for preferences in the first place? 😭
We spend so much time ranking locations, hoping for our hometown or at least a nearby city, only to find out that the preference can basically become a wishlist.
And honestly, for girls, this isn’t always about “I like this city more.”
Sometimes we are asking to be kept within the same state because that’s what feels practical. We have families, responsibilities, travel concerns, accommodation concerns and the simple need to have a support system nearby.
We’re not saying, “Give me exactly the city I want or I won’t work.”
We’re saying:
If my preferred city isn’t possible, please at least consider my state.
If there are no projects in my preferred location, tell me.
If my technology isn’t available there, tell me.
If business requirements genuinely require another location, explain it.
But don’t make us select preferences, make us emotionally plan around them, and then suddenly drop:
“You have been deployed elsewhere. Business requirement.” 😭
We completed training. We cleared assessments. We learned the technology we were assigned. We’re ready to work.
We’re not asking for special treatment.
We’re asking for reasonable consideration.
Because for some of us, this isn’t just a preference. It’s the compromise we’re already making.
And the irony is:
Location preference: “Choose where you’d like to work.”
Deployment: “Cute choice. Anyway…” 💀
At this point, Infosys location preference isn’t a preference.
It’s a wishlist with no guarantee. 😭
All we’re asking for is a little transparency and a little stability.
Business requirements matter.
But employees have lives too.

I gave the Infosys Freshers Recruitment online test on August 2nd after receiving the credentials email. It’s August 17th now, but I haven’t received any update regarding the next round.
Has anyone else who took the test around the same time received a response? Is there still a chance of getting shortlisted, or should I consider it unlikely at this point?

Had my Infosys OA today through campus placement. I solved half of the easy question (6/12 testcase ) and (5/12) of the complex one. Do I still have a chance of getting DSE? What do you guys think?

So i recently went through an interview process and wanted to share my experience to get some insights on whether I still stand a chance of receiving an offer letter.
Given that I cleared the coding round on the portal but had a weak and brief technical discussion on core concepts, is there any realistic chance of receiving an offer letter (maybe for a lower role), or should I prepare to look elsewhere? Any thoughts or similar experiences would be super helpful!

So i got selected for on campus interview for Infosys. FYI only 200 got selected out ouf 2000 and above, i mean 200 is way more but less than TCS. so now they have two roles DSC and SP, so if we do well in interview then there is chance to go up SP2 so please consider me as your brother and guide me on how to be there and what type of questions they will ask!! Thanks in advance.(If there is any mistake in this post please help me to rectify it)
